Talking Golf With The Golf Guy-Season 4 Episode 12 Wednesday At The Open

The 119th United States Open Championship begins tomorrow morning at the historic and scenic Pebble Beach Golf Links for the sixth time.

The list of winners at this site reads like a veritable who’s-who of golfing greats and this year’s winner will be no exception.

The United States Golf Association tries very hard to insure their Championships are a difficult test of golf that only the very best can survive.

As Sandy Tatum, a former director of the USGA once said, ” We are not trying to embarrass the best players in the world, we are only trying to identify them.”

This week will surely do just that.

Brooks Koepka is trying to become just the second player in history to win three consecutive championships after winning in 2017 and 2018.

Tiger Woods returns to the scene of his greatest Open triumph after winning the 2002 Open in record style.

Tony Finau, Mike Weir and Zac Blair head up the local contingent all trying to add to their own individual history at Major Championships.

Listen below as I highlight what you might expect this week at Pebble Beach.

And stay tuned all week as I offer Major Championship updates and podcasts every two hours.

Thanks for listening.
