Talking Golf With The Golf Guy-Season 5 Episode 8 With Randy Dodson

Fairways Media President & CEO, Randy Dodson, is, in my estimation, the hardest working man in Utah Golf.

As the Editor-in-Chief of Fairways, the official magazine of the Utah Golf Association, Utah Section PGA, and the Utah Junior Golf Association, Randy covers and reports on, what is basically, the entire spectrum of golf in the Rocky Mountain Area including all of Utah, parts of Wyoming, and Nevada.

His magazine, both print and on-line editions, consistently contains the highest standards of quality content, artwork, and informative, cutting-edge journalism.

His efforts and reporting have not gone unnoticed.

He is the recipient of the Utah Golf Association’s highest honor, the 2014 Golf Club Award presented annually to an “Individual who through significant achievement or unselfish service has contributed to the history and tradition of the game of golf in Utah.”

Also, the Utah Section PGA honored Randy in 2010 and 2016 with their Bill Howard Award presented to a person “Who best promotes the game of golf in Utah by sacrificing their own time and efforts for others with the goal of growing the game of golf and rendering professional service in a style and demeanor that reflects well on the entire Utah golf community by exemplifying the attributes of kindness, courtesy , unselfish service, consistent performance, professional excellence and integrity.”

I sat down with Randy and discussed in length his extensive background in print and visual media and his passion, dedication, and commitment to providing his readers and viewers with the highest standards of quality journalism.
