PGA Master Professional, Jeff Waters sits down with 2020 Utah Golf Hall of Fame Inductee, Joe Watts in a far ranging and insightful interview about the legendary, long-time golf administrator’s career guiding and influencing the state of affairs of Utah Golf.
His distinguished resume representing Amateur Golf includes service on the Board of Directors of the Utah Golf Association, including serving as President and Executive Director.
In 2008 he received the organizations highest honor when he was presented the Gold Club Award for outstanding achievement representing Amateur Golf.
A long-time sports journalist, he served as the Sports Editor of the Provo Herald Journal and was the publisher of Utah Golf News, the precursor of Utah Fairways Magazine.
If not the George Washington of Utah Golf because he was not the founder of the UGA, he certainly is the Abraham Lincoln by consolidating and bringing the allied organizations of Utah Golf together and creating a stable and working relationship between the PGA, USGA, and the UGA.
A great leader, an outstanding human being and a worthy member of the Utah Golf Hall of Fame.
