Talking Golf With The Golf Guy-Season 4 Episode 17 Friday At The Open-Arnold Palmer

The King of golf, Arnold Palmer, may have owned Pebble Beach but he never won a golf tournament here.

The Hall-of-Famer who won 62 PGA Tour titles and seven Major Championships over a long, illustrious career always got the short end of the stick when it came to competing at Pebble.

He did have six top-ten finishes on the golf course he would later acquire in partnership with Clint Eastwood and Peter Ueberroth, including second place at the 1966 Bing Crosby Pro-am and third in the 1972 United States Open Championship, behind Jack Nicklaus and Bruce Crampton.

But he could never win a tournament here.

The stories about Palmer are as legendary as the man himself.

I have added a few of those stories to my latest podcast and leaderboard update.

Please listen below.
